Position: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) | Gresham, Oregon
Make an impact working directly with students ranging from kindergarten to age 21 as an Autism Support Specialist. In this contract position, you'll contribute to meaningful change by providing targeted instructional activities and lessons tailored for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The position follows a 1.0 FTE schedule for 191 days per year, working collaboratively within Student Services.

Required Qualifications &

Experience:
  • Current certification as BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)
  • Experience supporting students with ASD, including those with Asperger's Syndrome and high-functioning autism
  • Knowledge of state standards, IEP compliance, and district curriculum requirements
  • Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and data-driven intervention planning
  • Proven ability to communicate assessment findings clearly to diverse audiences
  • Capacity to adapt curriculum and behavioral supports for varied learning needs
  • Commitment to professional collaboration and team-based problem-solving
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and interpret a range of assessments to determine eligibility and guide instruction for students with ASD
  • Design and implement individualized behavior support plans, using ongoing data collection to make informed adjustments
  • Employ a variety of instructional strategies, including discrete trial teaching, pivotal response training, and structured routines
  • Develop and deliver targeted social skill and play instruction to promote generalization across settings
  • Participate as an active IEP team member, shaping goals that align with assessment data and curriculum standards
  • Coach and train school staff, parents, and related service providers on evidence-based interventions and classroom support techniques
  • Design environments and supports that foster student independence and positive behavior
  • Stay current on best practices and comply with all relevant educational policies and procedures
