What you’ll do

Collaborate with medical providers and medical assistants through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. Exercise professional judgment to provide health care services, including applying x‑ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing and analyzing patient x‑rays and reporting results to medical providers.
  • Providing technical procedures and applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
  • Documenting daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintaining QA/QC logs, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and submitting repair tickets.
  • Conducting site assessments, operational and workflow reviews, and providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of urgent care centers.
  • Reconciliation of ordered labs and results within the clinical systems.
  • Training radiologic technologists on PACS and x‑ray procedures in classroom and clinical settings.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma required.
  • Graduate of an approved radiologic technologist program.
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
Required Licenses & Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire, obtained through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required at time of hire.
  • State licensure as a radiologic technologist required at the time of hire (if applicable by state law).
Administrative Job Functions (QAQC)
  • Conduct operational and workflow review of sites worked in to document growth and development for the team.
  • Complete site assessments and provide operational and clinical leadership to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure staff is properly trained on quality control processes for clinical equipment and patient logs.
  • Follow standards and procedures and comply with legal regulations to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
PACS Job Functions
  • Complete preventive maintenance on radiology equipment to ensure consistent operation.
  • Work closely with the JV partner’s radiology department to ensure all studies submitted are diagnostic and balanced in volume.
  • Reconcile radiology reports in the EMR system.
  • Assist in evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Essential Functions
  • Perform x‑ray services for patients of all ages, ensuring proper positioning and protection.
  • Prepare patients for examination, conduct interviews, verify medical information, and record vital signs.
  • Conduct point‑of‑care testing as needed (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG).
Medical Team Support
  • Collaborate with ordering/treating providers to determine optimal procedures or views.
  • Support clinic operations to keep the center running smoothly.
