Information Systems Analyst
Work Schedule:
4 hours/day, 260 days/year
Salary Range: $33.72 to $46.19/hour

This position works with GBSD staff to provide support services, operations, maintenance, and support by ensuring that business and curriculum systems are configured correctly and performing as expected. This includes software configuration of configuration management software, client PCs and mobile technologies, application and data systems operations, data administration, data integrity, and data privacy and security. These responsibilities include assisting users in troubleshooting, training, administering system permissions, and working extensively with remotely located staff and field staff.
The Information Services Analyst works under the supervision of the Director of Technology Services.
- Bachelor's degree in technology-related field or the equivalent in direct data systems management
- Two to three years of recent experience with data systems management in an enterprise environment; UNIX Command-line (PERL, Shell, Powershell, Python) scripting; languages and protocols used to extract and transfer data (SQL, SSH, SFTP)
- Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing
Required:- Valid Oregon Driver's License
- Reliable transportation and evidence of car insurance
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Creative problem solving and effective troubleshooting skills
- Communicates effectively orally and in writing
- Solid understanding of directory systems and user authentication, including LDAP and Active Directory
- Solid understanding of computer networking topologies and TCP/IP protocols including DHCP, DNS, FTP, SSH, and SMB
- Solid understanding of email protocols including SMTP, POP3 and IMAP
- Experience managing enterprise data systems
- Provides effective and efficient information systems support for all GBSD departments, campuses, offices, field offices, and mobile devices
- Implement and maintain data integrations between multiple data systems to ensure consistent data transfer and data integrity
- Works directly with staff and partners to understand and resolve information system problems and/or other related issues
- Provides training to users on applications/systems
- Ensure that all enterprise information systems are performing as expected and are properly maintained
- Monitors applications and systems for system performance problems and resolves problems as needed
- Manages district wide cyber security end user training and cyber security efforts
- Maintain knowledge of state reporting requirements and its implementation within the student information system
- Provide mid to high level user support to solve software, and application problems
- Manages tickets escalated from tier 1 and 2 technicians and coordinate communications necessary to ensure timely resolution of issues
- Works under guidance of higher level staff when necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Ability to:

- use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- regularly focus on a computer screen
- Bending, stooping, kneeling and lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds may also be required on occasion
- Maintaining regular and punctual attendance. In case of an absence, site and/or district protocol for reporting absences is followed.
- Maintaining appropriate confidentiality regarding information about students, staff, and parents
- Dress in a professional and appropriate manner for the assignment and the work setting
- Exercising prudent judgment
- Work independently in the performance of routine duties
- Follow all District policies and work procedures
- Participate in required meetings and trainings related to the position
- If employee is bilingual, interpretation, translating documents, and/or communicating orally in the second language may be requested

The cost is $71.50 and is the responsibility of the employee. This employment is considered probationary pending return of the criminal records check from the FBI and Oregon State Police through the Oregon Department of Education.
