As General Manager you are responsible for all aspects of the store during your shift, including cost controls, inventory, cash management, and customer relations. You set the example and enforce company policy and procedures at all times.
Job Duties- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Deliver product to customers by car (must have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record that meets company standards, and access to an insured vehicle).
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
Orientation and training are provided on the job.
Communication SkillsAbility to comprehend and give correct written instructions; communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers; process orders accurately over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills- Perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
- Make correct monetary change.
- Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Maintain motor coordination to make precise rapid movements.
- Input orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather when removing trash, delivering product, or couponing. In‑store temperatures range from 36°F to 90°F+ in some areas. Fumes from food odors and exposure to cornmeal dust. Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F and moving mechanical parts.
Workers are required to use near/far vision, depth perception, and have the ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces.
The job requires directing activities, performing repetitive tasks, working independently and with others, operating under stress, meeting strict quality control standards, dealing with people, analyzing data, and making judgments and decisions.
Physical Demands- Mostly standing; standing surfaces include ceramic tile.
- Walk over short distances.
- Paperwork normally performed at a desk.
- Lift bulk product deliveries up to 50 lb and stack onto shelves up to 72”.
- Carry items up to 30 lb, including large cans, pizza sauce, and trays of dough weighing ~12 lb.
- Push or pull trays on dollies requiring up to 7.5 lb force.
- Occasionally climb stairs or ladder for maintenance, price changes, or wall washing.
- Perform forward bending at the waist at the pizza assembly station; duration 30‑45 seconds repeated throughout the day.
- Occasional crouching/squatting to stock shelves and clean low areas.
- Reach up to 72’’ continuously, down, and forward for various tasks.
- Maintain continuous eye‑hand coordination; use hands for shaping dough, manipulating pizza peel and cutter, and handling boxes.
- Use tools such as pizza cutter, peel, rolling cutter, pencils, pens, calculators, and telephones.
