Operations Manager
Job Summary
Support the Director of Operations at the distribution center by directing warehouse activities and overseeing all aspects of daily production and order fulfillment.
Major Responsibilities- Operational Excellence:
Establish and enforce procedures for verifying shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and maintaining accurate warehouse inventory. Lead and measure daily processes to ensure order fulfillment and production excellence. - Partnership with the Director of Operations:
Resolve daily challenges, ensure timely and accurate completion of order fulfillment for operations that handle 2,200‑10,000 lines per day or $136K‑$1.2M in revenue. - Compliance and CDR Management:
When applicable, serve as the Certified Designated Representative (CDR) to ensure accurate record‑keeping and compliance with Florida’s Pharmacy Practice Act administrative rule. - Human Capital Management:
Support local HR processes, source and staff positions, assist with performance management, administer compensation, and administer training and development. Promote a culture of positive employee relations. - Expense Management:
Oversee daily expenses, prepare work orders for repairs, requisitions for equipment replacement, schedule and track freight to inter‑company and contact distributors, and resolve freight discrepancies with carriers. - Inventory Management:
Monitor processes to ensure products are moved correctly from trailer to racks to shipping; manage Vendor‑Managed Inventory (VMI) and inventory accuracy. - Sales Support:
Assist local sales representatives and leadership with customer service, respond to service failures and customer concerns, and resolve customer complaints through the OSI process. - Safety and Hygiene:
Monitor team practices, maintain housekeeping standards, and support the safety committee.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred; relevant work experience acceptable in lieu of a degree.
Experience3‑5 years supervisory experience with demonstrated support of personnel and warehouse employees; preferably 5+ years business experience, including several years in a distribution center environment.
Certification / LicensureCertified as a CDR by the State of Florida when applicable, ensuring compliant operations and handling of pharmaceutical products.
Additional QualificationsEffective communicator, strong writing skills, active listening, approachable, culturally competent, excellent presentation skills, high sense of urgency, energy, stamina, multitasking ability, personal integrity, and strong customer relations experience.
Benefits- Salary range: $101,000 - $152,000 annually
