MISSION /
SUMMARY:
Sets up and operates machine to cut folding cartons by performing the following duties.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.
- Review job ticket.
- Conducts pre‑make ready as required.
- Setting‑up die, counter plates, stripping section and press.
- Pulling front trim as required.
- Clean counter plates and strip down dies that are locked up.
- Clean area around press.
- Perform maintenance as required.
- Deliver cut cartons to finishing department.
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE /
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1‑3 years related experience and/or training

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:
- Must be able to work 8 hour shifts plus overtime as required.
- Employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Standing: 34-66% of time
- Walking: 34-66% of time
- Pushing/Pulling:
Frequently with a force of 10 lbs. Occasionally with a force of 50 lbs. Rarely with a force of 10 lbs. - Lifting:
Frequently with a force of 10 lbs. Occasionally with a force of 50 lbs. Rarely with a force of 10 lbs. - Frequent stair climbing, kneeling, crouching, balance, forward bending/standing, right and left hand coordination.
- Occasional right and left hand grip, elevated work, repetitive squat, repetitive reaching, step ladder climbing, rotation sitting.
- Wear PPE when required:
Safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection etc. - Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
