Older Adult Wellness Program Volunteer (age 17+) Referral
El Programa Hispano Católico’s Older Adult Wellness Program provides culturally responsive and client-centered services to support the wellbeing of older Latine adults through community meals, activities, and case management.
As a volunteer, you will assist with meal preparation and service, lead or support engaging activities like painting or games, and help with basic administrative tasks such as data entry and participant intake forms.
Volunteers support the Program Coordinator and participants directly, contributing to a sense of connection, dignity, and community.
Volunteer Tasks:- Help prepare, serve meals and clean up after group session is finished
- Lead or assist with arts, games, and other wellness activities
- Complete intake forms with participants
- Perform light data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Support a warm, respectful, and culturally sensitive environment
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred because most of our participants only speak Spanish
- Interest in working with older adults and culturally diverse communities
- Comfort with basic technology (email, data entry)
- Patient, compassionate, and reliable
- Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Responsive to email and able to communicate with staff regularly
- Must have access to a personal email account
Volunteers needed Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
Support the health and dignity of our elders while gaining hands‑on experience in social services, community engagement, and culturally responsive care! This is a great opportunity for those interested in aging, public health, bilingual community work, and food justice. Volunteers build relationships, grow professional skills, and deepen cultural awareness.

Opportunity Requirements: Volunteers must be 17 years of age or older to participate in this opportunity; any volunteer under age 18 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.
