however, it is not required.
In this role, you'll be responsible for cleaning dinnerware, flatware, cups and saucers, glassware, and other dishes using the commercial dishwasher and is responsible for cleaning of pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc. You will also assist with the preparation and service of nutritious, attractive meals that are prepared, served, and handled in accordance with state/federal food service rules and the resident’s service plan.
Compensation Range: starting at $18.00/hour (based on experience level and certifications)
Shift: Part-time, 20 hours/week

- Wash dishes using the commercial dishwasher.
- Wash pots and pans and utensils.
- Clean sinks and deck areas.
- Make coffee and tea, serve beverages and meals, as needed.
- Check and log the water temperature.
- Assist with setup and post-meal cleanup of dining room and tables for each meal
- Make sure that the water booster is turned off after every load of dishes.
- Clean filter on the dishwasher.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned.
- Assist in the receiving, rotation, and storage of products.
- Prepare and cook food in accordance with nutritional guidelines, state/federal food service and sanitation regulations, and residents’ individual prescribed diets and food preferences.
- Prepare food in an appetizing and attractive manner.
- Assist in fostering residents’ independence with eating by providing adaptive equipment or special diet types and textures, as indicated by the resident’s service plan.
- Ensure compliance with state/federal food service and sanitation regulations, the Department of Health, and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, efficient, and safe kitchen environment.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food and equipment in accordance with state/federal food service and sanitation regulations/guidelines.

- Maintain excellent attendance in line with the Adara Oaks’ attendance policy.
- Attend and participate in daily team huddles and pass downs, staff meetings, family night, service planning meetings, etc.
- Communicate professionally and build supportive relationships with all members of the team.
- Build supportive relationships with residents and their family members
- Keep up-to-date on required training and in-service hours (not less 16 hours per year for RCF) including Food Handlers card, First Aid (CPR if required), dementia training, and other state and company-mandated training.
- Maintain competency in techniques as outlined in the competency checklist.
- Comply with HIPAA Privacy Act by protecting confidential patient information.
- Stay up-to-date with Adara Oaks procedures and adhere to the guidelines set forth for processes that have been put in place.
- Maintain knowledge of and compliance with Residents’ Rights and report any concern immediately to the Administrator.
- Disclose unethical, concerning, or inappropriate behavior in the workplace to your manager or a superior.
