Overview
General Description of Position:
Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, metal or composites.
- Build, erect and align forms for various concrete structures and foundations.
- Construct and remove formwork for structural and paving concrete. Formwork includes job-built forms and/or formwork systems.
- Erect scaffolding, shoring, and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
- Place, set and tie rebar.
- Install metal embeds, bolts, and accessories to be cast into concrete.
- Place and finish concrete for walls, column, slabs, and paving.
- Must be able to use basic carpentry tools.
- Must be willing to travel if required.
- When not performing the above essential duties and responsibilities, may assist in other operations as designated by the supervisor.

The employee in this job must be knowledgeable about and follow the company’s safety policies and procedures as described in the company’s safety manual.
Specific Equipment and Materials to be used:
Carpenter’s hand tools, circular saws, concrete saw, chipper, sander, paving breaker, jackhammer. Be proficient in the use of finishing tools, such as vibrators, hand trowels, trowel machine, bull floats, hand floats, straightedges, edger, etc.
Education:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Work environment:
The work environment and physical demands characteristically described here are representative of those the employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, cold temperatures and high heat. The employee is frequently exposed to wet conditions; moving mechanical parts; and high and/ or precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
