Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician
Walmart is expanding our workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. If you possess relevant experience in this field, we invite you to bring your skills to our fast‑paced and welcoming work environment.
Job Duties- Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and hand, digital, power tools and equipment.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
- Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.
- 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
- Large Scale Rack Refrigeration experience.
- Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for refrigerant handling.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and a clear MVR report.
- 18 years or older with a high‑school diploma or equivalent.
Option 1: 10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration. Option 2: 8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and refrigeration. Universal EPA Certification.
Preferred Qualifications- Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2‑year associate’s of applied science in A/C and refrigeration.
- Excellent driving record.
- Prior work experience with glycol and CO₂ systems.
Hourly wage range: $29.00‑$56.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Premiums may be paid from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
