Residential Assistants (RA’s) are responsible for attending to all youth-related needs during their scheduled work shift. This includes monitoring youth during daily living activities, completing documentation, and using trauma‑informed care to provide a safe environment for healing and recovery.

• Provide support and intervention to youth using trauma-informed approaches.
• Assist with academic tutoring and homework.
• Complete required documentation, including daily communication log and incident reports.
• Facilitate medication administration and maintain medication records.
• Attend staff meetings and training.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and order while on duty.
• Conduct regular safety checks.
• Maintain open communication with youth and coworkers to create a positive environment.
• Facilitate after‑hour youth activities.
• Observe and supervise chores completed by youth.
• Follow policies for admissions, discharges, and visitation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Driving Requirements:
  Current active driver's license
  Current active auto insurance
  Over the age of 23 (per insurance policy)

• Pre-employment drug test (including marijuana).
• Criminal background and DMV check.
• CPR, CPI, and Food Handlers card within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to set and maintain professional boundaries with youth and staff.
• Demonstrated respect and dignity toward clients and staff.

• Experience in substance use/abuse treatment with youth.
• Understanding of 12‑step philosophy and youth treatment modalities.
• Addiction counseling certificate or knowledge is a plus.
• Experience working within the Native American/Alaska Native community.
