Position Overview
The Non CDL Driver/Laborer is responsible for driving company vehicles that do not require a CDL license, delivering and removing equipment, and picking up bulky items. This role includes operating service vehicles to handle the delivery, removal, exchanging, and maintenance of carts and other containers. The worker will interact with customers, service drivers, dispatch, and route managers to resolve issues and ensure service quality.
Additionally, the position involves maintaining the yard, constructing carts for customers, deconstructing carts for disposal, and performing other general labor activities.
- Drive company vehicles on designated routes to deliver, remove, and exchange containers.
- Perform yard maintenance to maintain equipment inventory and ensure site cleanliness.
- Prepare containers for delivery or exchange according to customer requirements.
- Pick up bulky items as scheduled or requested.
- Engage professionally with customers and team members to resolve problems and provide excellent service.
- Complete daily paperwork accurately, including route logs and pre/post vehicle inspections.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Navigate high traffic areas, construction sites, and locations with significant public activity safely.
- Perform other general labor duties as assigned.
- Capable of lifting a minimum of 60 pounds.
License/Certification:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must pass pre-employment drug screen, h.p.e. (human performance evaluation), background check, and random drug screenings.
