Special Ed Teacher | Gretna, Louisiana

A K-12 special education teaching opportunity is available in Gretna, LA, with a contract extending through the current school year. This role requires a full-time commitment, approximately 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, following the school calendar.

• Active Louisiana DOE Special Education Certification is mandatory.
• Candidates must be currently certified and able to start immediately; those undergoing licensing processes are not eligible.
• Completion of district-required drug screening and fingerprinting is necessary prior to placement.

• Provide specialized instruction to students with varying disabilities across the K-12 spectrum.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to support student progress.
• Maintain compliance with all district policies and procedures.

• This position serves schools within the New Orleans area, primarily based in Gretna, Louisiana.

• Competitive compensation is offered in the range of $40 to $52 per hour.
