Carpenter
This role focuses on concrete and carpentry work on commercial construction sites, including foundation work, building forms and platforms, and completing high-quality concrete finishes. You will use hand and power tools to construct, pour, and finish concrete structures while interpreting blueprints and working as part of a skilled construction team.
Responsibilities- Perform foundation work for commercial construction projects, ensuring structures are built to specification and are structurally sound.
- Build concrete forms and platforms accurately according to blueprints and construction drawings.
- Mix and pour concrete safely and efficiently, maintaining proper consistency and placement.
- Run, tie, and pull rebar to reinforce concrete structures, following project plans and industry standards.
- Smooth, grade, and finish concrete surfaces and forms to achieve high-quality, professional results.
- Carry out concrete finishing tasks, including edging, jointing, and surface finishing as required.
- Execute rough and form carpentry work, including installation and assembly of structural components.
- Read and work from blueprints and construction drawings to complete tasks correctly and on time.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and finishing tools such as levels and tape measures to perform daily tasks.
- Assist with drywall and sheetrock-related tasks as needed to support overall project completion.
- Follow safety procedures on construction sites and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Collaborate with other construction team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- 1–4+ years of experience working in the construction industry as a carpenter and concrete worker.
- 1–4+ years of experience in commercial construction environments.
- 1–4+ years of experience building concrete forms, pouring concrete, and finishing or smoothing concrete surfaces.
- 1–4+ years of experience tying and pulling rebar for concrete reinforcement.
- 1–4+ years of experience performing concrete finishing tasks.
- 1–4+ years of experience performing rough and form carpentry.
- 1–4+ years of experience working with hand tools and power tools on construction sites.
- 1–4+ years of experience reading and working from blueprints and construction drawings.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, finishing tools, levels, and tape measures confidently and safely.
- Experience with concrete construction and concrete forms and pours.
- Experience with commercial construction projects.
- Experience with rough carpentry and installation work.
- Experience with drywall and sheetrock work.
- Ability to work effectively on active construction sites and follow safety guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in finish carpentry and concrete finishing.
- Experience as a concrete finisher or similar role in construction.
- Familiarity with interpreting detailed construction plans and specifications.
- Comfort working on projects that may require travel to different job sites.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a construction crew.
