Process Engineer

Process Engineer in Griffin (Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or mechanical engineering required);

• Optimize existing process and development of new processes. Additionally, this positions will be required to evaluate cost saving measures and develop debottlenecking procedures for improved safety, quality and productivity.
• Develop, configure and optimize compounding processes for new and existing materials and coordinate all aspects of production department and maintenance department, including safety and lean manufacturing
• Ensures the manufacturing facilities comply with all applicable ISO, US environmental, OSHA regulations, responsible care initiatives, and SCC requirements
• Develop and establish procedures for maintaining high standards of operations
• Design, run, test, analyze and upgrade systems and processes
• Assessing processes, taking measurements and interpreting data and change written procedures based on data analysis
• Take leadership role in customer and internal corrective action investigations and root cause analysis
• Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output while managing cost and time constraints
• Strong leadership skills are required
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work and interact with departments and plant personnel
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Knowledge of ISO, Kaizen, 5S and automotive plastic business a plus
• Lean manufacturing process
• This position will require SOME traveling
• Hours: Must have a flexible schedule
• Pay Rate: is $85,000-$100,000/year and up
