Manufacturing Engineer

Our client in the Athens, GA area is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Assembly Engineer to join their team on a long-term contract basis.

Job Duties

• Assist with pilot builds (first production run) on the Athens assembly line

• Daily monitoring of assembly line. Must be available to provide "front line" assistance to help resolve any product problem on the assembly line.

• Interrogate company's engineering drawings and 3D models to understand design requirements

• Assist quality personnel with diagnosis and correct categorization of quality issues

• Design and drawing release of minor tractor components and assemblies

• Monitor and assist with implementation of running design changes

Education/Experience

• BS degree or higher in engineering

• Experience with reading engineering drawings

• Basic experience with 3D solid modeling and design of mechanical systems or components using Creo and Vis (or similar)

• Basic hands-on mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to learn

• Strong organization, communication, and technical skills

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capability

• A good attitude with ability to work in and lead diverse teams
