Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a supply chain professional to join our global team in the role of Global S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) Manager, focused on our Enclosed Power Solutions and Switchgear. Our business is growing rapidly, and we require oversight of all planning areas. This role will be front and center of the Large Electric Power solutions business.

This role will be responsible for managing the Global S&OP process for our custom power solutions and switch gear products in Large Electric Power Solutions, focused on containerized solution products. It requires work across multiple manufacturing facilities, both internal and external, and across numerous functional areas.

What You Will Do
  • Integrate demand, supply, and financial planning into forward‑thinking plans based on input from key functional areas.
  • Link strategic plans to operational plans and develop the most beneficial production plan, including strategic planning for periods outside the execution window.
  • Manage supply‑response communications across 3 internal facilities and more than 10 external manufacturing facilities.
  • Coordinate demand planning, network optimization, and capacity planning across departments and regions.
  • Analyze forecast quality and accuracy, taking corrective actions if needed.
  • Analyze and solve business problems, focusing on root causes and driving forward‑looking opportunities.
  • Develop and utilize statistical modeling to drive decision‑making.
  • Liaise with operational management teams on all matters related to resource planning.
  • Own cadence and processes on a strict schedule, communicating outcomes to senior leaders within Large Electric Power.

  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail:
    Extensive knowledge of the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high precision.
  • Analytical Thinking:
    Extensive knowledge of analytical techniques; ability to determine root causes and create alternative solutions.
  • Capacity Planning & Management – MFG:
    Working knowledge of tools and practices for determining production demand and managing resources.
  • Data Gathering & Analysis:
    Working knowledge of data‑gathering tools and techniques; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders.
  • Planning and Organizing:
    Knowledge of planning processes; ability to plan and organize tasks and resources systematically.
What Will Set You Apart
  • Detailed S&OP experience managing multiple data inputs and providing accurate, detailed responses.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and Caterpillar internal ordering systems; understanding how forecast translates into real demand.
  • Data manipulation and presentation skills, driving the team forward to accommodate huge growth.
Additional Information
  • This position can be located in Griffin, GA, Alpharetta, GA, Peoria, IL, or Lafayette, IN.
  • This role requires 5‑day a week on‑site attendance.
  • 10% or less travel expected.
