Position Summary
This is a position within FORTNA’s Engineering Support Office team where you will play a pivotal role in driving excellence across our engineering operations. The role focuses on Quality, Training & Documentation, Tools, Engineering Standards & Processes, and Metrics.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain quality control frameworks for engineering processes and deliverables.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of project engineering processes, products, and services.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Design and execute comprehensive training programs for project engineering staff.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including manuals, guidelines, and SOPs.
- Provide guidance to engineers on established procedures and best practices.
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement and mentoring across the Engineering department.
- Support the development and implementation of KPIs and metrics for project delivery and engineering processes.
- Analyze data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and improvement areas.
- Generate regular reports and presentations to senior management.
- Work closely with engineering teams to develop action plans to address performance gaps.
- Create and update the Parts Library to reflect changes in product designs and manufacturing processes.
- Support engineering with expertise and resources in various engineering software tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, AutoCAD Electrical, Navisworks, ACC, Vault, and custom add‑ons).
- Foster effective communication of innovative concepts and drive transformative change in the department.
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience with an Engineering Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience building quality controls into engineering processes and supporting corrective actions.
- Proficiency in engineering software tools and automation, reporting, and process support.
- Strong 3D modeling skills (parametric and horizontal‑style).
- Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to self‑motivate and work effectively in a team.
- Strong management, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to rent a car without a co‑renter.
- Physical capability to walk, kneel, crouch, climb, lift up to 75 lbs occasionally, and work both in office and active construction sites.

Base Salary Range: $66,100 – $99,200 (actual compensation may vary by location, level, skills, experience, and performance). Travel requirement: up to 15% to job sites, trade shows, and offices.
