Position: Harness Designer (CREO)
  • Design and develop electrical wiring harnesses based on customer and project requirements.
  • Create 2D and 3D harness routing, wiring diagrams, and installation drawings.
  • Develop electrical schematics, wiring layouts, connector selections, and harness documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), wire lists, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Perform design reviews and incorporate engineering change requests (ECRs) and engineering change orders (ECOs).
  • Optimize harness designs for manufacturability, serviceability, weight, cost, and reliability.
  • Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and production activities.
  • Troubleshoot design issues and provide technical support during manufacturing and field implementation.
  • Maintain accurate design documentation and configuration management records.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in wiring harness design (experience requirements may vary based on role level).
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring standards, connectors, terminals, and cable assemblies.
  • Experience with wiring harness design and CAD tools such as CATIA Electrical, Siemens Capital, Zuken E3.series, AutoCAD Electrical, Creo, or Solid Works Electrical.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
