Electrical Engineer

TRC Talent Solutions has partnered with the premier authorized heavy equipment and power systems dealer in the Southeast to identify an Electrical Engineer for its growing Engineered Solutions division. With more than 100 years of industry leadership, this organization delivers customized power generation solutions, engineered systems, and technical expertise across a variety of industrial markets.

Location: Batesville, MS or Griffin, GA (100% Onsite)

Summary

The Electrical Engineer will support the design and development of custom electrical systems used within generator enclosures and power generation packages. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure designs are technically sound, manufacturable, and compliant with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for custom generator enclosures and power solutions
• Create and review single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
• Perform grounding and protection coordination design activities
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NEC, and NFPA standards
• Convert and modernize legacy AutoCAD designs using Solid Works Electrical
• Collaborate with manufacturing and fabrication teams to improve product designs
• Provide technical guidance for installation, commissioning, and operation
• Support troubleshooting, product improvements, and engineering documentation
• Assist with project execution and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
• 2+ years to 10+ years of Electrical Engineering experience
• Experience with Solid Works Electrical;
  Solid Works Simulation preferred
• Knowledge of power distribution, switch gear, and electrical systems design
• Understanding of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and IEC standards
• Experience in manufacturing, power generation, or industrial equipment environments preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• PLC or controls experience is a plus
• Ability to travel up to 10%
