- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required
- ARRT-R (Radiography)
- ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association
- Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images
- Work independently operating imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA)
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues promptly
- Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam
- Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit
- Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable
- Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated
- Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately
- Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS (including transfers/retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed)
- Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain/restock crash cart and life-support equipment as required
- Organize daily workflows to meet expected time frames; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow
- Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and escalate issues to the supervisor
