As the Yancey Engineering Solutions Logistics Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, inspection, and processing of incoming goodsto ensure they are handled efficiently, accurately, and safely

• Oversee unloading and handling of shipments, ensuring safety and minimizing damage
• Verify goods against purchase orders, invoices, or bills of lading, checking quantities, descriptions, and condition
• Coordinate storage
  and organize inventory for easy retrieval, often using space optimization strategies
• Manage receiving schedules to align with delivery times and warehouse capacity
• Enforce safety protocols
  and conduct inspections or training for staff
• Liaise with suppliers and shipping companies
  to resolve issues with delayed, damaged, or incorrect shipments
• Conduct inventory audits
  to maintain accurate stock records
• Maintain documentation
  such as goods received notes, discrepancy reports, and corrective actions
• Train and lead teams
  , delegating tasks and mentoring associates
• Implement process improvements and standard operating procedures for receiving operations

• Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years in logistics operations.

• Depp understanding of logistics.
• Strong accountability and initiative.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Advanced problem solving capabilities.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• CDL.
• Willing to work in extreme weather conditions.
