PositionSummary
Responsible for shipping, receiving, and delivering raw materials, finished goods, products and maintain inventory control and records; performs related work. Supports production by staging raw materials, intermediate, and rework.
Tasks- Receives and unloads freight; checks for damaged goods; verifies quantity and quality of order; verifies items received with purchase
- Operates a forklift and/or pallet jack in a safe and orderly manner
- Moves, stacks, and stores raw materials and finished goods in the warehouse according to the FIFO methodology.
- Inspects forklifts daily.
- Transports raw materials and finished goods to the appropriate area.
- Responsible for physical inventories of warehouse.
- Establish new stocking locations and rearrange and optimizes space usage in warehouse area.
- Stages loads and loads trailers for outbound shipment.
- Write the dimensions and the gross weight of the shipment on the documents and take pictures for shipment.
- Handling of shipping and receiving documents.
- Ensures the efficient and safe operations of all material handling equipment.
- Prepares shipping labels for outbound shipments/ Inbound shipment.
- Monthly inventory count.
- Participates in production meetings.
- Moves raw materials and intermediate from warehouse to FIFO designated area so that Production personnel can move to the work area.
- Receives Acid and KOH.
- Other duties assigned by management.
- Works safely to prevent on the job injuries by wearing proper safety equipment (e.g. safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel-toed shoes) and abiding by company safety rules.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to drive a forklift safely.
- Must be able to climb onto and off of a forklift.
- Must be able to twist/turn, reach over shoulders and stand/walk on a continuous basis.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to push/pull with entire body weights up to 10‑150 lbs.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time (>3 continuously).
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand actions (grasping, push/pull, ad fine manipulations).
- Must be able to knee to floor level.
- Must be able to climb up/down steps frequently.
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred.
- Forklift driving experience – 3‑5 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
