The Job You Will Perform

  • Following all safety rules and procedures;
  • Reading factory work orders and corrugator schedules to learn customer specifications;
  • Verifying (measuring) sheets to ensure that sheet sizes and score locations conform to customer specifications;
  • Doing soak tests and checking other board quality characteristics such as warp, score strength, caliper, bond, line-up, and color;
  • Identifying sheets with chalk-written order numbers and/or load tags;
  • Moving sheets off the stacker conveyors onto the transfer cart and onto the converting or sheet conveyors;
  • Banding units of sheets;
  • Removing, asiding, and identifying nonconforming materials (warp, loose, out-of-line, etc.);
  • Making batches of starch and verifying starch quality;
  • Maintaining clean and organized work areas;
  • Completing accurate records; and
  • Performing other duties assigned by supervision.
The Qualifications, Skills And Knowledge You Will Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Desire and motivation to work in a team-based environment
  • Ability to accurately use and read measuring devices
  • Applicants must be able to stand, walk and be able to reach at or below shoulder level, frequent twisting, bending and lifting from the ground; repetitive lifting.
