Quality Inspector

Quality Inspector – Griffin, GA

Reports to:

Site Supervisor/Site Leads

• The Quality Inspector acts as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria.
• Performs quality inspections and audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use.
• Identifies non-conforming parts or sub-assemblies and applies appropriate rework, sorting or scrapping as directed by the Team Leader.
• Uses methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly or disassembly to rectify non-conforming material.
• Determines the tools and equipment needed for the task and sets them up accordingly.
• Grinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and sub-assemblies using hand tools or equipment.
• Communicates sort/inspection results to managers, supervisors and the production source.
• Opens and closes tickets in the company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements.
• Maintains accurate inspection records and documentation.

• Proficiency in English – excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate, prioritize and multitask.
• Demonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Initiative and recognition of needs.
• Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential material.
• Reliable transportation.
• 1+ year in a quality related position.
• Basic knowledge of materials and production processes.
• Basic knowledge of quality control methods.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
