Job Description
Responsibilities- Operate and assist on equipment, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, box making, roll loading/unloading, and housekeeping standards.
- Work safely, cleanly, and ethically, following plant PPE requirements and safety rules.
- Report unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintain area housekeeping and record completion in daily cleaning logs.
- Follow GMPs to assure food product safety.
- Perform finished quality inspections and packaging.
- Make boxes, load and unload rolls, and create tractability labels.
- Read and understand work orders to meet product requirements.
- Conduct first‑piece quality checks and hourly roll quality checks (width, footage test, core length, packaging, and other inspections per Production Work Orders).
- Assist CO II’s in changeovers and get production lines in operation, making minimal machine adjustments to maintain quality requirements.
- Complete and supply accurate production paperwork to the shift supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean work area, completing cleaning logs and general area housekeeping.
- Perform all other assignments directed by supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
- Ability to work on the manufacturing floor standing for 12 or more hours per day.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to safely operate, maintain, and perform minor adjustments on heavy equipment.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others.
