Responsibilities

  • Creation of work orders to reduce unplanned maintenance through a preventive maintenance program.
  • Generate performance reports for each maintenance technician’s time entered into the system for both reactive and preventative work, capturing hours utilized versus clock hours.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance dates with scheduling and production weekly against the current production schedule.
  • Review and analyze MaintainX records to improve the PM schedule and increase effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with parts room attendant/purchaser to ensure parts are kitted for preventive maintenance in advance.
  • Confirm the entry of PM work orders for accuracy of dates, time spent, and parts consumed.
  • Coordinate, plan, and schedule maintenance work orders for contractors supporting PM, capital projects, and facility repairs.
  • Work with the Safety Manager to schedule and track all applicable insurance, governmental, and safety inspections via the MaintainX system.
  • Review log documentation and PM check sheets for accuracy with maintenance technicians.
  • Train and communicate planned work across all shifts.
  • Verify required ISO and/or SQF documentation in partnership with the ISO and SQF Administrator.
  • Ensure PM maintenance work orders are completed on time by all personnel during shifts.
  • Provide performance and quality maintenance completion analysis, including metrics such as backlog planning, right‑first‑time rates, repeat work frequency, incomplete work by required date, overdue work, and completion by technician type.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
  • Maintain consistent attendance per the manager‑assigned schedule.
  • Meet departmental goals and defined key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Read and interpret pneumatic, instrumentation, hydraulic, and electrical drawings and manuals, and transfer knowledge to others.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and operational issues, including HVAC, chilled water, heating, automation, extrusion, and ECT systems.
  • Assume responsibility for efficient asset utilization and resource loading.
  • Reduce unplanned downtime with an effective PM program and manage the Pareto analysis of highest downtime codes and root‑cause resolutions.
  • Direct, support, and guide technicians in using the MaintainX system.
  • Ensure food safety, good manufacturing practices, and ISO quality system processes are maintained.
Qualifications
  • College degree or 3‑5 years of experience in a related field, with leadership experience preferred.
  • 3‑5 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Overall knowledge of manufacturing and multistep converting processes.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Self‑starter with organizational abilities and multitasking capability.
  • Ability to plan short‑range and long‑range projects.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Maintain

  • Ability to direct, motivate, and collaborate effectively across all four shifts.
  • Good understanding of schedule and product line.
