ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work shift coverage with advanced repair skills on all production equipment.
  • Responsible for documenting all assigned reports and maintenance work orders (MWO's) for work performed.
  • Work with other maintenance, process and production personnel as necessary or directed in problem solving of equipment and production issues.
  • General troubleshooting of all mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and operation issues such as but not limited to HVAC, process chilled water systems, heating, automation, extrusion, etc.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.
  • Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, switches, motors, etc.
  • Observe and listen to operational mechanical devices to determine causes of problems.
  • Inspect used and defective parts to determine causes of wear and put corrective actions in place such as determine dimensional requirement modifications.
  • Some fabrication of parts or structures using in‑house equipment, for example but not limited to lathe, drill press, milling machine, welding, etc.
  • Accomplish all work orders to maintain safety, reduce downtime, decrease scrap, improve quality and improve plant efficiency.
  • Able to perform routine and diagnostic Planned Maintenance on equipment.
  • All other assignments, general and specific, as directed by Supervisor.
  • Safety – Responsible for working safely and following all plant safety rules and policies. Reports unsafe conditions. Wears proper attire and all required PPE.
