SUMMARY
Swanton Welding is currently accepting internal applications for a General Labor position in our Fabrication / Production Support Department – Griffin, GA
. This position plays an important role in sandblasting, finishing, painting prep, and assisting with production projects across the shop.
- Assist with sandblasting
, surface prep, and maintenance of equipment. - Help with painting and finishing operations
, ensuring clean, uniform results. - Operate tools and equipment including saws, grinders, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes (after training).
- Support welders and fabricators with material handling and setup
. - Maintain clean and safe work areas following 5S and safety protocols.
- Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement activities
.
- Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in a shop environment.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
. - Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Prior experience in fabrication, finishing, or industrial work preferred.
