Corrugator Utility - 2nd Shift
$24.54 per hour
Corrugator utility persons perform a variety of tasks to support corrugator operations.
Corrugator utility persons report to corrugator supervisors.
Corrugator utility person duties/responsibilities include:
- Following all safety rules and procedures
- Helping single facer and double backer operators prepare rolls for splices and order changes
- Performing other corrugator crew member duties during break periods, as needed
- Working with other associate(s) to change corrugator flute rolls when roll changes are needed
- Assisting other crew members with the daily cleaning of the machine
- Helping on the sheet line as needed when sheet orders are produced
- Daily emptying all the waste containers in the corrugator department, including those in the supervisors' office
- Training on and learning all corrugator crew positions to be able to perform those jobs during vacation, call-in, and/or other absence situations
- Helping clean single facers when they are not in operation
- Unloading roll stock from rail cars and trucks as needed
- Keeping the truck area empty of roll stock
- Participating in and performing roll stock inventories
- Unloading, receiving, and storing corrugator raw materials in the proper areas
- Performing assigned inspections and tests and completing accurate records
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervision
The duties/responsibilities of corrugator utility people are not limited or restricted to those listed above. We expect this position to evolve and grow.
The qualifications for corrugator utility persons are the ability to meet the requirements of the job with or without accommodation; the certified ability to safely operate a forklift truck and clamp truck; the ability to read, write, and speak English; the ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler; the ability to use basic shop math; the ability to learn;
and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.
