Description
We are currently looking for a Item Builder at our Griffin, GA location.
Essential Duties and Tasks:- Create new item records in the ERP/MRP system based on approved requests.
- Enter and validate item attributes such as:
- Item numbers and descriptions
- Units of measure (UOM)
- Packaging configurations
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Routing/operation steps
- Cost fields and planning parameters
- Update and maintain existing items as changes occur
- Work closely with the Master Scheduler to ensure item setups support accurate scheduling and planning.
- Verify that all required item data is complete before items are released to production.
- Communicate missing information or discrepancies to Planning, Manufacturing, or Engineering.
- Back fill the Master Scheduler when needed.
- Review item requests for completeness and compliance with company standards.
- Audit data regularly to identify duplicates, incorrect fields, or outdated information.
- Maintain documentation, logs, or checklists related to item creation.
- Accuracy & Attention to Detail - Ensures error-free item setup and data entry.
- Organization - Manages multiple item requests and priorities effectively.
- Communication - Works clearly and professionally with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving - Identifies missing data and helps find solutions.
- Dependability - Meets deadlines and maintains consistent workflow.
