Diesel Maintenance Technician

Pro Ampac is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support our Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on packaging and converting equipment to maximize safety, uptime, and product quality. You'll work closely with engineering and production teams to diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, support continuous improvement projects, and contribute to our safety-first, collaborative culture focused on innovation and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment to maximize uptime
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Support safe startup, changeovers, and shutdowns while following all safety and LOTO procedures
• Use CMMS to document work orders, parts usage, and equipment history
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to improve equipment reliability and production quality
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area

• Basic industrial electrical (480
• V, motors, VFDs)
• PLC/HMI familiarity for diagnostics
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Reading mechanical and electrical schematics
• Welding and fabrication (basic)
• CMMS/maintenance work order systems
• Safety practices (LOTO, PPE, OSHA)
