Technician
The technician performs a wide range of concrete and carpentry tasks on construction sites, focusing on foundation work, form building, and concrete finishing for commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform foundation work, including preparation, layout, and construction of structural elements.
- Build concrete forms and platforms according to construction drawings and project specifications.
- Mix and pour concrete safely and accurately, following required ratios and procedures.
- Run, tie, and pull rebar to reinforce concrete structures in line with project requirements.
- Smooth, grade, and finish concrete surfaces and forms to achieve the specified quality and appearance.
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to execute work correctly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, finishing tools, levels, and tape measures to complete carpentry and concrete tasks.
- Perform rough and form carpentry work as needed for commercial construction projects.
- Install and assemble concrete forms, sheetrock, and related construction materials.
- Follow site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Essential Skills
- 1–4+ years of experience working in the construction industry, including commercial construction.
- 1–4+ years of experience as a carpenter and concrete worker.
- 1–4+ years of experience building forms, pouring concrete, and finishing or smoothing concrete.
- 1–4+ years of experience tying and pulling rebar.
- 1–4+ years of experience performing concrete finishing.
- 1–4+ years of experience performing rough and form carpentry.
- 1–4+ years of experience working with hand and power tools.
- 1–4+ years of experience working with blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong knowledge of concrete construction and concrete finishing techniques.
- Ability to accurately use hand tools, power tools, finishing tools, levels, and tape measures.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction drawings.
- Experience in commercial construction environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with concrete forms and concrete pours.
- Experience in finish carpentry and general carpentry.
- Familiarity with rebar installation and tying methods.
- Experience working with drywall and sheetrock.
- Knowledge of rough carpentry and installation practices.
- Ability to work on traveling projects when required, with per diem provided.
- Comfort working in a family-oriented company culture.

Work Environment
This role is based on active construction sites within commercial projects. Work is performed outdoors and indoors depending on the phase of construction, with exposure to typical construction conditions such as noise, dust, and varying weather. You will regularly use hand and power tools, finishing tools, levels, and tape measures, and work around concrete forms, rebar, drywall, and other building materials.
Standard construction site safety practices apply, including appropriate personal protective equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Griffin, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
