Job Description JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily Inventory, shipping functions and receiving functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Performs duties in a safe manner.
  • Run reports in JDE to identify current inventory status (not limited to but including 2D report, negative balance, current inventory by location, inventory by expiration)
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory by location/area to identify variances
  • Investigate root cause on inventory variances using receipt documentation, JDE transactions, work order documentation, and individual communications with team members.
  • Communicate cross‑functionally on transactional issues and provide feedback to management and peers regarding root causes for variance
  • Perform inventory adjustments and transfers based on cycle counting and transactional research
  • Validate receipt and shipping transactions daily to confirm accuracy of entry
  • Validate railcar/tanker ins and outs and that corresponding receipt transactions match documented quantities
  • Identify materials to be transferred to the dedicated racks for production use to support the next 48 hours
  • Perform weekly POU inventory in conjunction with production team
  • Reconcile work order entry on a daily basis
  • Provide support to operational teams regarding inventory process and training to support proper inventory movements
  • Clear stopped/blocked transactions daily
  • Participate in/lead continuous improvement projects as assigned
  • Perform daily walk through to identify misplaced items, items in the wrong POU, validate FEFO utilization, and provide feedback on material organization to leadership.
  • Any other duty assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma; some college preferred.
  • 2‑5 years' experience in a warehouse environment required.
  • Ability to be a team member in a positive and professional manner. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co‑workers, Corporate, 3PL, other Berry Global facilities, Logistics Managers, customer service, quality control, sales, carriers, outside vendors, customers by telephone, in person and through written and verbal correspondence.
  • Has the functional and technical knowledge and skill to do the job at a high level of accomplishment. Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; shares expertise with others.
  • Supports the organization's goals and values; supports affirmative action and respects diversity, promotes quality and safe work habits.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers in positive and constructive manner to achieve the goals of the department and business.
  • Must speak clearly and have good speaking and telephone skills. Must be able to read, write and understand English.
  • Uses time efficiently and prioritizes assignments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, JDE, QSI and DCLink.
  • Ability to take initiative and work effectively with little supervision.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time as this position requires inventory on the production/warehouse floor.
