Griffith Public Schools is seeking a caring, qualified, and dependable Long-Term Maternity Substitute Teacher to provide instruction and maintain a positive learning environment during a teacher's maternity leave.

• Valid Indiana teaching license is preferred; candidates with a provisional or professional license will be considered.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with building administrators, teachers, support staff, students, and families.
• Must complete all required background checks and employment documentation.
• Provide daily instruction aligned with district curriculum, classroom plans, and Indiana Academic Standards.
• Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
• Prepare lessons, assess student learning, maintain student records, and communicate student progress as appropriate.
• Follow student IEPs, 504 plans, behavior plans, and other required accommodations.
• Communicate regularly with the building principal, grade-level team, and families.
• Attend staff meetings, professional development, conferences, and school events as requested during the assignment.
• Follow all Griffith Public Schools policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Perform other duties consistent with the assignment as directed by the building principal.

This is a temporary, full-time position for the duration of the teacher's maternity leave. Start and end dates will be determined based on district need.
