Role Description
This is a full-time, on‑site Warehouse Laborer role based in Griffith, IN. The Warehouse Laborer will handle daily warehouse operations, including receiving incoming materials, unloading trucks, and verifying quantities against packing lists. The role includes picking and packing orders, preparing shipments, labeling products, and organizing materials in designated storage locations. The Warehouse Laborer will operate material‑handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified), to move, stack, and stage inventory safely.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean, organized work area, following safety procedures, assisting with inventory counts, and supporting other warehouse tasks as needed to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Experience with shipping & receiving tasks, including checking, recording, and staging incoming and outgoing materials.
- Skills in packing, labeling, and preparing orders for shipment with attention to accuracy and damage prevention.
- Ability to safely perform unloading activities, including manual handling of materials in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency or willingness to train in forklift operation and pallet jack use, with commitment to safe equipment handling.
- Ability to lift and move materials regularly, stand and walk for extended periods, and follow safety and PPE guidelines.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Basic math and reading skills to interpret packing lists, labels, and inventory documents; prior warehouse or logistics experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; willingness to complete any required equipment certifications provided by the employer.
