Position Summary
Technology Specialist and Service Relationship Manager positions are part of the Information Technology Services (ITS) Springboard Program. Employees are employed under a term appointment of up to three years and provide both technical expert support and relationship management across campus.
Responsibilities- Act as a technical specialist within a designated technology team.
- Advocate for constituents in ITS decision‑making and support ticket resolution.
- Disseminate technology service and change information to staff and students.
- Triage and route support tickets to the appropriate technical colleague.
- Keep ticket submitters informed of progress and status.
- Collaborate with directors of technology teams and participate in mentoring and professional development activities.
- Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree or higher (eligible for Associate's degree candidates with IT coursework).
- Demonstrated interest in information technology and professional development.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across campus constituencies.
- No prior technical experience required for applicants with a Bachelor's degree; willingness to learn and grow is essential.

The Springboard Program is a professional employment opportunity within the Grinnell College ITS department, specifically for recent graduates. Up to four positions are typically available each year, and the program provides a three‑year full‑time term with cohort‑based learning and mentorship.
