The OpportunityThe Manager, Maintenance plays a key role in ensuring optimal operational reliability by overseeing all maintenance procedures and activities at Leli Holland. This role is responsible for preserving and protecting machinery, facility systems, and installations. The Manager leads the maintenance team in minimizing equipment failure, improving uptime, and supporting continuous operational excellence in alignment with regulatory standards.
What You Will Do- Develop, plan, and oversee maintenance, improvement, and installation of equipment in line with company procedures.
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure targets for uptime, reliability, and efficiency are achieved.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and reliability improvements of all facility equipment.
- Ensure all equipment operates at intended capacity and meets design standards for performance and reliability.
- Schedule and coordinate major maintenance jobs with external contractors and vendors.
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance development.
- Oversee parts inventory and ensure availability of critical supplies to support uninterrupted operations.
- Manage procurement and delivery timelines for spare parts within budget requirements.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improved equipment design and maintenance practices.
- Develop cost‑effective maintenance budgets and monitor ongoing spend against targets.
- Drive cost‑saving initiatives through preventative maintenance and process optimization.
- Analyze failure data and implement root cause analysis to reduce unplanned downtime.
Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Regular attendance and active contribution in accordance with company standards is essential for success in this role.
Safety RequirementsPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when duties involve potential health or safety risks. The Company provides required PPE and training. Employees must promptly report defective, damaged, or missing PPE to their supervisor.
This position operates in both a production and professional office environment, using tools, machinery, and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
Organizational RelationshipsThis position directly reports to:
Operations Manager
- Strong knowledge of troubleshooting, reliability engineering, and maintenance best practices
- In‑depth understanding of facility systems and equipment, including PLC, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- In‑depth understanding of safety regulations (VCA, NEN, Arbo) and quality norms (like ISO, GMP, HACCP).
- Effective leadership skills in managing diverse technical teams
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a proactive mindset
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Clear, adaptable communication style suitable for cross‑functional collaboration
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and maintain high safety and compliance standards
- Mastery of English and Dutch, both verbal and written
- Bachelor-level education, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager in a manufacturing or regulated facility
- 10+ years of experience working with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial systems
