Security Officer
Reports to:
Director of Facilities
Schedule:
Days, Evenings, Weekends Status:
Hourly-Non-exempt
Primary Responsibilities Monitor and analyze camera footage.
Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points.
Protect the company’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues.
Respond to any alarms and emergencies.
Communicate any irregularities with management.
Responsible for all incident reports, ensuring accurate reporting is done, and then coordinating with HR to file.
Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior.
Follow procedures for various initiatives including fire prevention, traffic control and accident investigations.
Schedule and conduct fire drills, bi-annually with staff.
Escort visitors off the premises, if necessary.
Act as main point of contact for local authorities.
Ensure that compliance with government regulations is followed at all times.
Monthly first aid and AED equipment checks and inventory.
Annual safety inspections with life safety equipment.
Assist events team with set up and tear down, as needed.
Complete secure lock up of building.
Assist with traffic, as needed.
Completes shift reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
Periodically informs management of security breaches, and any other relevant safety information.
Ensures the operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Others duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience/Characteristics High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 years of security experience CPR/First Aid certified
Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours
Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
Basic computer skills
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Excellent sense of judgment
Ability to stay alert at all times
