Athletic Director

The Athletic Director will oversee the planning, development, and management of the athletic programs in Grosse Pointe Farms. This leadership role requires a dynamic individual who can promote sportsmanship, ensure compliance with regulations, and foster a positive environment for student-athletes, coaches, and the community.

• Develop, implement, and manage all athletic programs and activities.
• Hire, supervise, and evaluate coaches and athletic staff.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national athletic regulations and policies.
• Manage athletic budgets, including fundraising and resource allocation.
• Coordinate scheduling of games, practices, and events.
• Promote student-athlete academic achievement and personal development.
• Maintain and improve athletic facilities and equipment.
• Serve as a liaison between the athletic department, school administration, parents, and community organizations.
• Organize and oversee athletic awards and recognition programs.
• Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency procedures for athletic activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Education, or related field.
• Proven experience in athletic administration or coaching.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of athletic regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups including students, staff, and community members.
• Demonstrated commitment to promoting sportsmanship and student development.
• First aid and CPR certification preferred.
