Part time - Fridays and Saturdays 9:30pm-2:30am

At Excalibur Park, we believe the guest experience begins the moment someone walks through our doors. We're looking for a professional, confident, and personable Door Attendant who can create a welcoming first impression while helping maintain a safe, enjoyable environment for everyone.

This isn t a traditional security role. We re looking for someone who leads with hospitality, communicates with professionalism, and knows how to keep situations calm before they become problems.

• Welcome every guest with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Check IDs and verify legal drinking age in accordance with Michigan law.
• Monitor guest entry and occupancy levels when needed.
• Maintain an organized entrance and assist with line management during busy periods.
• Recognize signs of intoxication and work with management to ensure responsible service.
• Help enforce house policies respectfully and consistently.
• De-escalate situations through calm communication and sound judgment.
• Maintain awareness of activity inside and outside the entrance.
• Coordinate with bartenders and managers to promote a safe, enjoyable atmosphere.
• Complete basic incident reports when necessary.
• Assist with closing responsibilities around the entrance and patio as needed.

Requirements

• Friendly, approachable, and confident.
• Professional in both appearance and communication.
• Comfortable interacting with guests from all backgrounds.
• Calm under pressure with excellent judgment.
• Dependable, punctual, and accountable.
• Able to stand and remain attentive throughout the shift.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Experience working in hospitality, restaurants, bars, hotels, or customer service.
• Previous experience checking IDs or working door/security is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
