Director of Strategic Operations
to join our team!

The Director of Strategic Operations is a strategic, execution-focused leader within the Operations function who partners with executive leadership to develop operational business cases and manage high-priority initiatives across the organization. This role drives cross‑functional projects that advance growth, operational efficiency, and value creation across a women’s health managed service organization. The Director of Strategic Operations leads complex analyses, coordinates stakeholders, and translates strategy into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

Strategic Initiatives & Business Case Development

  • Develop comprehensive operational business cases for strategic initiatives, including financial modeling, operational feasibility, risk assessment, and implementation planning.
  • Support evaluation and execution of new service line expansions within physician practices.
  • Identify and assess opportunities for cross‑marketing and scaling existing service lines across the practice network.

Special Projects Execution & Program Management

  • Lead and manage special projects that support organizational growth, operational optimization, and strategic priorities.
  • Serve as project owner for initiatives requiring cross‑functional coordination among operations, clinical leadership, finance, marketing, IT, and legal/compliance.
  • Establish project plans, timelines, success metrics, and reporting structures to ensure on‑time and effective delivery.

M&A, Acquihire & Strategic Opportunity Evaluation

  • Support exploration and evaluation of acquihire, tuck‑in, and non‑traditional M&A opportunities from an operational and strategic perspective.
  • Conduct operational diligence, integration planning, and synergy assessments as needed.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to assess strategic fit and execution complexity.

Executive & Board Support

  • Develop materials for Board meetings, executive reviews, and recap sessions, including presentations, dashboards, and decision‑support analyses.
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, concise narratives for executive and Board‑level audiences.

Strategic Procurement & Vendor Evaluation

  • Evaluate strategic procurement investments, vendor options, and partnership opportunities to support operational and clinical objectives.
  • Lead vendor assessments, cost‑benefit analyses, and implementation planning in collaboration with finance and operations teams.
  • General Organizational Support
    • Operational lead for strategic and tactical initiatives defined by the CEO/COO that require targeted analysis, planning and or implementation.
    Qualifications

    Required Education, Experience, and

    Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related degree (Master’s degree preferred).
    • Financial modeling experience.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
    • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and capital planning.
    • Highly organized, detail‑oriented and proactive problem solver.
    • Comfortable working cross‑functionally with clinical, operational, finance and executive teams.
    • Relevant Industry

      Experience:

      While not required, experience working in healthcare or private equity is strongly preferred. An understanding of revenue recognition in a healthcare setting and physician compensation models is desired.
