Substitute Teacher
Substitute Teachers offer supplementary support in instances where regular teachers are unable to fulfill their duties. They may be responsible for creating and executing lesson plans and educational goals while overseeing student activities, managing classroom dynamics, and facilitating learning activities. Additionally, they may be responsible for tasks such as test grading, report compilation, and the assignment and evaluation of homework assignments.
Primary
Qualifications:
Valid Michigan Teaching certificate, OR Transcripts with a total of 60+ credit hours and a minimum 2.0 GPA from accredited colleges/universities
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reviews and implements lesson plans
- Mentors and engages students
- Gives clear instructions and helps students understand the lesson
- Maintains discipline and control of the classroom
- Fosters a safe and nurturing learning atmosphere
- May record and grade quizzes, homework, projects, and exams
- Observes and follows school and Edustaff policies
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation:
Retired Teachers - $190 p/day Other Retired Professionals - $125 p/day
