Registered Nurse Operating Room (20hrs./wk. Part-Time Benefits) Days-Cottage

Shift: Days-20 hours per week, no weekends, no holidays, no on call

Location: Cottage, Grosse Pointe

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence and may require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position.

Works independently and in collaboration with the principal investigator.

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum of 1 year circulating
• One year of OR experience is required
• Must have 1+ years experience circulating
• Ability to scrub in the Operating Room (desirable)
• Preferred:
  Bachelor's Degree
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse
• Successful completion of HFMG Pharmacology test
• Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
• Effective communication with patients, families and medical group personnel
• Preferred experience in the specialty
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse
