Duties
- Manage a portfolio of clients across diverse industries, serving as their primary point of contact for tax planning, compliance, and strategic financial guidance
- Review individual, fiduciary, partnership, and corporate tax returns prepared by staff, using Ultra Tax CS and the Thomson Reuters product suite
- Lead proactive tax planning conversations with small business owners and individuals to support their long-term financial goals
- Mentor and develop interns and staff accountants in partnership with firm leadership, including reviewing work, providing feedback, and supporting CPA exam progress
- Partner with firm leadership on practice development, process improvement, and client growth initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA designation is preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of public accounting experience required, with at least 1 year reviewing tax returns
- Strong working knowledge of Ultra Tax CS, Quick Books (Online and Desktop), and the Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines simultaneously
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs (approx. 5-10%, primarily within CT and RI)
