Responsibilities

The Library Aide assists Library patrons with inquires of a non-reference nature and with the use of equipment. The Library Aide performs receptionist duties, uses electronic databases, and performs simple equipment maintenance. This position includes shelving, sorting and distributing mail, assisting with programs, and other related clerical duties.

Varied shifts to include days, evenings, and weekend hours. Part-Time, up to 18 hours per week. STARTING RATE: $16.94/hour. POSITION RANGE: $16.94 - $17.50/hour.

Qualifications

The position generally requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have basic computer skills and be comfortable with technology. Attention to detail, clerical skills, and good oral and written communication skills a must. Demonstrated ability to effectively work with the public; including patrons of all ages. Library experience preferred. Flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Bilingual a plus.
