Procurement Coordinator

Overview

Our client Procurement Coordinator to join their team. As a Procurement Coordinator, you will be part of the Operations Support team, supporting sourcing and procurement activities. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Procurement

Location: Groton, Connecticut

• Generate requisitions and manage purchase orders across all lines within Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharm Sci), ensuring completeness and accuracy of associated documents.
• Interface with colleagues, Procurement, Finance, and vendors to facilitate seamless procure-to-pay processes.
• Assist with setting up new vendors and maintaining existing ones in procurement systems like Ariba.
• Review invoices, communicate discrepancies to vendors, and work collaboratively to resolve issues.
• Support operational reporting by gathering monthly metrics related to purchase order activity, discrepancies, and spend analysis.

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in procurement, finance, or related functions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, data analysis).
• Experience with procurement tools such as Ariba Spend Management is preferred.
• Strong planning, prioritization, and multitasking skills to manage multiple requests across global time zones.
