Facilities Planner

Job Overview

We are seeking a Facilities Planner for our client site in Groton, CT. The role requires outstanding skills, teamwork, and a commitment to delivering customer service excellence. Salary range: $70,000–$80,000.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm (with flexibility for business demand).

• Maintain professional and customer‑oriented relationships with team members, internal and external customers, service providers, and building occupants.
• Coordinate logistics with facility partners such as science lines, projects group, and asset management.
• Conduct walk‑downs to investigate systems and assess impacts on end users.
• Submit site‑wide communications via the customer SharePoint site.
• Partner with business customers to reconcile vendor conflicts, coordinating corrective actions until resolution.
• Maintain proficiency in CMMS to update equipment history and access material inventory.
• Schedule work with service departments, print work orders, and track/report completion status.
• Estimate work‑order completion times, compare actual performance, and adjust plans as needed.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Support safety programs and perform other duties as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of experience in business administration, technical operations, or a related role in facility management, maintenance planning, operations, engineering, or construction.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems and maintenance trades.
• Demonstrated experience in a high‑visibility customer service role with multiple customer streams.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and team‑oriented mindset.
• Background check and ability to obtain site‑specific security access.
• Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and alternative schedules.
• Valid driver’s license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles.
• United States citizen or permanent resident (no sponsorship).

• Technical degree (bachelor’s or associate’s).
• Experience in a GMP or regulated environment such as hospitals, biomedical, or pharmaceutical campuses.
• Ability to read repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematics.
• Experience with industrial plant steam systems, centrifugal chillers, air handling units, turbines, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, heat exchangers, and building automation control systems.
• CMMS experience (EAMS experience is a plus).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
