Senior Computer Engineer

A confidential employer in Groton, CT is seeking a Senior Computer Engineer to drive embedded systems innovation for next-generation underwater maritime projects. This direct-hire role offers a competitive salary, full relocation, and the chance to work on cutting-edge defense technology. It's an ideal fit for an experienced engineer ready to lead complex designs with a multidisciplinary team.

For a seasoned embedded systems engineer, few roles offer the chance to directly shape the future of maritime defense. This position provides the opportunity to design and refine the electronics that power autonomous underwater vehicles, acoustic arrays, and secure communications equipment. You'll work on systems that operate in extreme environments, pushing the limits of what's possible beneath the waves. If you want your work to have immediate, visible impact on national security missions, this is where you belong.

Every day, you'll translate complex signal processing requirements into elegant hardware solutions. You'll write VHDL for FPGAs, craft C/C++ code on Linux, and integrate data from sensors that peer into the ocean's depths. Your code will run on compact, low-power platforms that must be both rugged and precise. From the lab bench to at-sea field tests, you'll validate that your designs perform flawlessly under pressure—because when your technology operates in a submarine or an unmanned vehicle, there's zero room for failure.

The engineer who thrives here is equal parts creative and disciplined. You have deep experience with embedded systems and a love for hardware that most software-minded engineers lack. You're comfortable probing a new FPGA with an oscilloscope, mapping out state machine architectures, and mentoring junior team members on best practices. You're not afraid to question assumptions, and you bring a physicist's curiosity to every debug session.

Most importantly, you take pride in delivering technology that sailors and systems rely on in the field.

This is a direct-hire, on-site role in Groton, CT (with an option in Concord, MA) that comes with full relocation assistance, a top-tier benefits package, and a compensation range that reflects the seniority of the work. You'll join a small, multidisciplinary team where your voice matters and your contributions are seen. If you're ready to build the brains behind the ocean's most advanced technology, apply today.

We're eager to speak with engineers who are ready to make waves.
