Senior Engineer – Electronics

A confidential employer in Groton, Connecticut, is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join its Sensing and Communications Department. This role focuses on the full lifecycle of advanced underwater maritime systems, blending hands-on PCB design with technical leadership and mentoring in a small, entrepreneurial team.

This is not just another engineering role—it is a gateway to shaping the future of underwater maritime technology. A confidential industry leader is investing in its Sensing and Communications Department, offering you the chance to own the electrical backbone of systems that operate in some of the planet's most challenging environments. From sonar to advanced sensing, your work will have both immediate and strategic impact.

Your days will revolve around designing, prototyping, and refining complex mixed-signal PCBs that integrate analog sensors, high-speed digital communication, and embedded processing. You will take projects from concept through testing and production, working alongside a team that values deep technical skill and creative problem-solving. Because these systems must perform reliably under extreme conditions, your attention to low-noise design and power management will be critical to mission success.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned electronics engineer who thrives on full-cycle hardware ownership. You have a strong track record of laying out multi-layer boards, troubleshooting signal integrity issues with oscilloscopes and data acquisition systems, and mentoring less experienced colleagues. You are comfortable in both the laboratory and the field, and you enjoy translating high-level system requirements into practical, manufacturable designs.

If you are ready to apply your deep electronics expertise to technologies that make a real difference, this is the opportunity you have been waiting for. Our client offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, full relocation, and the chance to work in a culture where your contributions are immediately visible and valued. Take the next step and apply today to start a conversation about how you can make your mark in underwater defense technology.
